Are you having issues with the tool not working properly? Below you will find some common trouble shooting solutions.

I click the "Post to Facebook" button, but nothing happens..

This could happen for a few reasons. You need to update the tool or you need to update your browser. Please watch the video below to show you how to update the tool and your browser. https://www.loom.com/share/f9fec9c2b69e4a31b3b4107cc6ccb646?sid=1118f120-4440-4466-861c-c51f2a4428be

The "Post to Facebook" button does not show up..

This can happen for a few reasons.

  1. Your account is not active or has been disabled. If you open the tool and at the bottom it shows a red button that says "Invalid User ID or Password" you either don't have an active account or you have mis-spelled the user id or password. Make sure to enter it in exactly as you were shown. Both are case-sensitive. If you have correctly entered both in, contact your sales rep that signed you up.

  2. You are trying to use a website that is not supported by the tool. By default, the tool will work on Autotrader, Cars.com, Cargurus, CarsForSale.com. We do have the ability to program the tool to work directly on your dealership website for an additional cost. Please contact your sales rep for pricing details.

I am not getting many clicks on my listings..

This can depend on many factors that are out of our control. It could be pricing, make and model or even your area may not do well on marketplace. We suggest try posting in Facebook groups outside of marketplace to help expand the search. It is worthy to note that Facebook Marketplace is a numbers game. Once you have a large inventory of active listings, most will find their leads coming in will increase.

I think that Facebook is NOT showing my listings..

Just because you list a vehicle on marketplace does not guarantee that Facebook will always show the listing. They have a very complex algorithm that will sometimes "shadow ban" a listing. There is no proven method to prevent this from happening but several have found the suggestions below helpful:

  1. New Listing Delay – Sometimes, Facebook takes time to index new listings, so it might not appear in search results immediately. Try waiting a bit and checking later.

  2. Try editing and re-saving the listing. You can also try deleting the listing and posting it again. Only do this after a few days

  3. Deleting some listing. Try to delete listings each week. This shows Facebook that you are not a spammer just trying to generate leads.

  4. If you choose, you can also spend a few dollars to boost the listing. We only recommend doing this if you have good margins on a vehicle.
